11 Mile River Camp - Owner's Area
Very cute, but not the easiest spot
This campsite was great! Clean, quiet, secluded. Great view of the river, very few bugs, cute area to set up a tents. The port-a-potty was surprisingly clean and the tree swing was a great plus for our kids.
Wish the description had been more clear that while yes, the campsite itself is down a very steep hill that hardly any car can get down. Unfortunately the picnic table is at the top of this hill, so pretty inconvenient for any cooking you plan to do.
The area down to the river is also not ideal for any swimming, fishing, launching kayaks, relaxing etc. it’s little more than a small patch of muddy sand that’s difficult to get to. Can’t put any chairs on it, nor is it stable enough to get comfy on for the day. It wasn’t a big deal though, there’s areas around this campsite to do most of these things. Just wish we had known.
Overall, a very cute site and really enjoyed it. We would recommend this place to folks in the future, But not quite what we expected.

Very beautiful site. The only thing bad I have to say is the bathroom had spider webs and a wasp in it so my wife couldn’t use it.

Great place on the river, close to the road but we where there for the river and it did not disappoint.

Loved this spot.
Amazing site, super private and huge! Would come back again. Note that while we were there, logging trucks were active starting at 3-4am and it can be quite loud in the tent at the lower level.

INACCURATE LISTING
BEYOND DISAPPOINTING! Born and raised small town Oregonian, and am shocked by the COMPLETE INACCURACIES in this. It is NOT a camping site. Let’s start with the misinformation:
- There is NO level ground to pitch ANY tents. The spot is located on the side of a road and is completely downhill all the way to the river. As lifelong campers it took multiple hours to find a way for our tent to fit anywhere on the property with the least amount of sliding and it was still awful to try to sit, eat, or sleep.
- THERE IS NO DRIVEWAY/PARKING AREA EXCEPT ON THE SMALL PULL OFF DIRECTLY ON THE ROAD. The “driveway” is not a driveway at all. It is a sticker/thorn/debris covered patch that we attempted to park on night one and it flattened our tire.
- There are three LARGE piles of debris where they said a trailer would fit. The piles have all sorts of stuff in them including a bee infestation. By day 2 our campsite was swarming. ALL food stored and they were still so bad we got a hotel instead of staying another night.
- There are fire ants all over. This one would’ve just been nice to know. We understand bugs are part of camping. But facilitating bee hotels in dumping piles you have on the small property as well as fire ant colonies is different.
- IT IS NOT A CAMPING SPOT. It is a small pull off on the side of the road perfect for one person traveling through for a night.
Overall, this ruined my BIRTHDAY and we’re thankful the local hotel gave us a discount to help us relax.
